Edmonton
Family Worship Centre
A
Church with a Heart ….in the Heart of the City
Edmonton
Family Worship Centre began in 1985 under the Pastoral Leadership of Dennis
Wilson. Under this leadership the Church purchased it’s present property and
manse (now the Church offices) at the corner of 106 Avenue and 96 Street.
Pastor Terry and Dori Garrett came to Edmonton from the U.S. in 1992. They
Pastored the Church for 14 years, leaving in February of 2006 to become Pastors
of Good News Church in Tupelo, Mississippi. Ray and Elaine Baillie began as
Interim Pastors in January of /06 and are now Pastoring the Church.
EFWC
is a dynamic group of people from all walks of life, who come together with a
common focus of worshipping Jesus Christ, building lives of faith, and reaching
out to the needs of Inner City Edmonton. Lively worship, and positive Bible
preaching are a part of every service, and prayer is a major focus of our life
and ministry together.
Our
Staff and Ministry Leaders:
Pastor
Ray and Elaine Baillie are Senior Pastors at EFWC. They have served in various
areas of ministry since 1978, and are experienced in both large and small
Churches. They have a heart for the family, having raised three grown children,
and being married for some 30 years. (I know, they’re so young looking….) Their
desire is to see individuals, marriages and families reach their full potential
in Christ, and to see the Good News of Jesus shared with all who will hear it.
They have previously served in ministry in Fort Saskatchewan, Lethbridge, Bow
Island, and Red Deer, Alberta. They have short term missions experience in
Mexico, India, Thailand, and Taiwan. You will be blessed by the positive
proclamation of life-giving Word through their ministry.
